Advanced Course and Spcialty

After getting Open Water Diver certificate, you could take the advanced course as the next step on your scuba journey.

The advanced course in PADI is called Advanced Open Water Diver, and it equals to the Advanced Adventure course in SSI, both of the course contents are experiencing 5 different specialty courses. 

Or you could also take the specialty courses to reach higher level on specific diving skills.

 

By completing any two SSI Specialty programs that interest you, and logging 12 open water dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

Requirement:

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certified

  • PADI Rescue Diver certified

  • Complete 5 different PADI Specialty Courses

  • Have logged a minimum of 50 dives

  • Complete 4 SSI specialty courses (SSI AOWD)

  • SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certified

  • Have logged a minimum of 50 dives
